1. Data Controller

The data controller is the operator of the Skipper Tools platform. Contact: novyt [at] email [dot] cz

2. What Data We Collect

Data stored locally on the user's device

• GPS position when recording log entries
• Boat details (name, type, dimensions, registration, call sign, MMSI)
• Crew details (name, role, license number, contact)
• Voyage records (time, speed, course, notes)
• Weather data downloaded from Open-Meteo API
• App settings

Data when connecting a Google account (optional)

• Email address, name, and profile picture from Google account
• Access token for Google Drive API (scope: drive.file)

3. How We Use Data

Local data: All voyage, boat, and crew data remains stored exclusively on the user's device. No data is sent to any server operated by us.

GPS position: Used only for recording in the logbook and displaying on the map. Position is not tracked in the background without the user's knowledge.

Google account: Used solely for backup and restore of data to the user's own Google Drive. Access is limited to drive.file scope - the app can only see files it has created.

Weather data: GPS coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo API to obtain current weather information.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third party. Exceptions:

• Google Drive: Only if you sign in and actively click backup. Data is stored on your own Google Drive.
• Open-Meteo: GPS coordinates are sent to retrieve weather data.
• Cloudflare Pages: Hosting service that serves static application files.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored in the browser's IndexedDB
• Google Drive backup is protected by your Google account
• We do not operate any server or database

6. Data Retention

Data is retained on the device until the user deletes it or clears browser data.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Access: All data is visible directly in the application
• Correction: Data can be edited directly in the application
• Deletion: Settings, Delete all data
• Portability: Export data as JSON or PDF
• Withdrawal of consent: Google account can be disconnected at any time

8. Cookies and Tracking

The application does not use cookies, analytics tools, advertising networks, or any tracking technologies.

9. Children

The application is not intended for children under 16 years of age.

10. Changes to This Policy

Changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this document.
